Appointment of Dr. Colin Walter as Program Chair for CHES 2003

Dr. Walter, Head of the Cryptography Department, has been appointed program chair for the next CHES conference which will take place at the end of summer 2003 in Cologne. This is the fastest growing international cryptography conference in the world at present and deals particularly with implementation issues.

Dr. Walter, Head of the Cryptography Department, will present the latest new results on the security of the Mist algorithm at the international RSA 2003 conference, April 13-17 in San Francisco. This algorithm is a major new method for the secure implementation of RSA in smart cards.
